On Monday Night, my Twitter account was re-instated after an 8-month suspension. Here to report on this new development is our host, Ted Koppel:
On Monday Night (April 3, 2023), Blogger Joe Deal's Twitter account was re-instated after it was suspended for 8 months. On June 8, 2022 Mr. Deal was reacting to a violent video on his Twitter timeline where One man had followed another man, punching him in the back of the head. The victim fell to the pavement, and died.
Deal reacted by tweeting that the killer should be hunted down or put in the electric chair. For that, Mr. Deal ran afoul of Twitter's often capricious 'Code of Conduct', and his account was suspended and locked.
From June 8, 2022 to April 3 of this year, Joe Deal (known to his readers as The RedSquirrel Report) was locked out of his Twitter account. It was held hostage for 297 Days.
If you remember, he was also locked out of his account from July 22, 2019 to April 26, 2022. That Twitter Suspension hostage crisis lasted for 1,009 days.
On Monday night, his Twitter account was released from it's captivity. Joe Deal's latest Twitter account suspension hostage crisis was indeed finally over.
He IS experiencing some challenges with his Twitter account's newfound freedom. He has to start over again, having lost ALL 5,000+ followers.
On July 22, 2019, He lost over 7,000 followers. Among his followers were Twitter mavens Kurt Schlichter, Charlie Kirk, and Michelle Malkin, as well as comedian Dana Carvey. When his account was re-instated the first time in April 2022, 5,000 followers returned.
Now, he's back at 0 followers, according to his profile page, although he has 15 followers on his notifications page. Still, he is happy to be back. We wish Joe good luck, and hope that he doesn't run afoul of Twitter's Code of Conduct rules any more.
This is Ted Koppel. Goodnight.
