IDEA: Replace Colbert With L.A. Mayoral Race Reality TV Show

Dear CBS,

RE: MY PITCH

First of all, THANK YOU for firing that Trump-hating, no-ratings douche Steven Colbert. You may be wondering what new show can be a suitable replacement for The Late Show.

How about turning the 2026 Los Angeles mayoral race into a reality show? Spencer Pratt, former star of ''The Hills'' has made this race very interesting  exposing the corruption and incompetence of current communist Mayor Karen Bass.

The viewers can call a 1-801 phone number to vote for their favorite candidate, much like viewers did on ''American Idol.''

Even AFTER the election, we can follow Mr. Pratt (win or lose) in his efforts to make Los Angeles a better, more decent place to live. If current Communist Mayor Bass wins, you can show her efforts to turn Los Angeles into a Hellhole dominated by homeless drug zombies, illegal aliens, corrupt grifters, and beleaguered Palisade residents tearing their hair out waiting for help to rebuild their burned homes.

You should assign some GOTCHA!!! reporters from ''60 MInutes'' to follow Mayor Bass around with microphones in her face, demanding that she explain herself. Perhaps one of your reporters can ask her why she took a trip to Ghana as Palisades went up in flames.

I think this proposed program would garner terrific ratings. Thank you for your consideration.

Best regards,

Red J. Squirrel, Twin Cities blogger.
