OUR NEW TOP TEN LIST: TEN QUESTIONS WE WOULD'VE ASKED THE CANDIDATES AT THE LWV MAYORAL DEBATE IN MINNEAPOLIS

 

I wrote almost  all of this last Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the mayoral candidates seeking to be the next Minneapolis Mayor revealed their vision for the city at the Central downtown Library. The debate was sponsored by the ''always unbiased'' League of Women Voters.

They discussed small business, clean energy, affordable housing, and public safety, but there were questions YOUR BUSHY-TAILED REPORTER WOULD HAVE ASKED THE CANDIDATES IF HE HAD BEEN THE MODERATOR.

From the home office in Bovey, Minnesota, here is OUR TOP TEN QUESTIONS WE WOULD HAVE ASKED THE MAYORAL CANDIDATES IN TUESDAY'S LWV DEBATE:

10. Mayor Frey, Do you regret allowing the rioters to gut The Third Precinct building AND BURN DOWN THE CITY in 2020?

 9. Candidate Fateh, How do plan to deal with all of the fraud and criminal activity surrounding the city's Somali community?

 8. Mayor Frey, Is the insane level of crime we are living with JUST THE PRICE WE PAY TO LIVE IN THE CITY?

 7. This question is for all the Trump-haters. The protesters oppposed ICE agents arresting human traffickers and drug dealers on Lake Street in June. Shouldn't the city APOLOGIZE?

 6. This QUESTION is for ALL OF THE CANDIDATES: What do you think of DEFUNDING POLICE NOW? 

 5. This question is for ALL THE CANDIDATES. How should The City of Minneapolis make housing MORE AFFORDABLE? AND LET'S SEE IF YOU CAN ANSWER THE QUESTION WITHOUT SUGGESTING THAT WE PUNISH THE LANDLORDS.

 4. Candidate Omar, Why did The State D.F.L. Party REVOKE your endorsement?

 3. This question is for all of the candidates: Who should we be tougher on ....COPS or CRIMINALS?
